Ryan Eaves

Ryan Eaves grew up on a ranch in rural Atoka, Oklahoma, and was exposed to the outdoors at a young age by his father. Whitetails and turkey were the primary targets during those early years, and, while not always successful by today’s standards of success, the hunt itself quickly lit a fire inside that to this day has yet to subside. Over the years Ryan has been blessed to hunt from Old Mexico to Alaska with innumerable stops at destinations between these two extremes. Archery gear is all that accompanies him nowadays; occasionally this means unfilled tags, however the hunt itself is the reward, not the kill. Whitetails continue to constitute a large portion of Ryan’s hunting diet each fall, however his first love will always be the truly wild, untamed country with critters that allow him to stay on his feet the majority of the hunt. Ryan has been married to his wife, Erin, for 5 years, and has 2 children, Eli Fate (age 4) and Eden Faith (age 1).
“Wild places stir my soul to the core and nourish something inside that, while hard to describe, is most definitely a need that must be fed. I am a trophy hunter by definition, however that definition rests solely with me. I will never degrade an animal to a purely statistical point of view; that’s not my reason for bowhunting. I hope to pass on the sport of hunting to my children; having been blessed immeasurably while hunting is something that would be selfish of me not to attempt to pass on to the next generation.”
