Joel Turner

Joel Turner engulfs himself in every moment spent in the wild. The outdoors is his passion, having begun hunting with his father shortly after learning to walk. Hunting and the outdoors have shaped every facet of his life. Joel started shooting a bow at age 7 and started bowhunting at age 14.  Since that time, he has never looked back, and has been successful in harvesting numerous species with stick and string. 

There is little that excites Joel in the wild like the bugle of a bull elk. Being introduced to competition elk calling in 2005, Joel has found himself in the top 3 in the world since 2006. In 2008, he was fortunate enough to become the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Professional Division World Elk Calling Champion. Joel now shares his calling and shooting techniques with hundreds of hunters every year through seminars.

In his time away from the woods, Joel has the honor of being a police officer, firearms instructor, and a sniper team leader on a SWAT team.  With a wonderful wife and a two year old son that has been shooting a bow since he was 10 months old, the memories to come will be priceless.
